Iran crosses 50k COVID-19 deaths, becomes most affected country in Middle East

Iran’s two-week partial lockdown although did slow the spread of COVID-19, it did not put an end to the same. The country crossed the mark of 50,000 deaths due to the virus making it the most affected country in the Middle East. On Saturday, President Hassan Rouhani informed the citizens that the lockdown could be extended if safety precautions were not abided by.
