Authorities in Australia urged residents of a coastal resort town on a popular holiday island to leave immediately as a bushfire worsens. Firefighters are finding it challenging to control the huge bushfire on Fraser Island, off the east coast of Queensland. An illegal campfire in mid-October has been blamed for the bushfire. It has destroyed 82,500 hectares of the UNESCO World Heritage site.
