Indonesian minister accused in COVID-19 corruption case

Indonesia’s social affairs minister Juliari Batubara turned himself in to anti-corruption authorities on Sunday to face charges of accepting bribes related to the government’s COVID-19 aid distribution. Batubara and two other officials are suspected of taking bribes of at least 17 billion rupiah ($1.2M)in connection with the procurement. The other two suspects in the case are private citizens.
