’Safe harbor’ day makes Trump’s legal bid to overturn defeat more complicated
Tuesday, 8 Dec., is ’safe harbor’ day, a deadline under US election law that will make President Trump’s campaign to overturn the election result less probable. The deadline is for states to certify the results of the election. It is not mandatory though and Trump’s legal team has called the deadline meaningless.. As of Monday, 47 states and the District of Columbia had certified their results.

Unfortunately safe harbor conditions were not met. There are still outstanding litigation that could not be resolved by the state processes and there are cases on the docket.
