AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine safe, effective: Studies

Recently revealed results on a possible COVID-19 vaccine from Oxford University and AstraZeneca have suggested that the vaccine is safe and about 70 percent effective. Questions, however, remain about how well it may help protect those over 55. Experts have maintained that the vaccine is likely to be approved, despite some confusion in the results and lower levels of protection.

It's 62% with two full doses because they use an adeno virus to carry the genetic information against the covid virus, and they think the body makes antibodies aganist the adeno virus if you get a full first dose, so that the second does is ineffective.. But with a half first dose , the second dose is more effective.
