The Trump administration refused to buy millions of additional doses of Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine this summer, NYT and AP reported. This decision can potentially delay the delivery of a second batch of doses until Pfizer fulfills other international contracts. Pfizer’s jab is one of the leading Covid-19 vaccine candidates, which is expected to be approved by a panel of FDA as soon as this week.
Trump administration already secured 500000000 doses from them and 500000000 from modera and 500000000 from someone else. They still have the ability to buy more after the vaccine proves affective from which ever one works best. TLDR: They didn't lock into an agreement until it's proved the best result.
This claim is disputed by the White House. But even if they did, during the summer, I'm pretty sure it was leftists like KH and others who said they wouldn't take the vaccine by trumps administration anyway. So not sure what those people are upset about. There is also more then one kind of vaccine. I personally will wait to get my dose, it sounds like a terrible experience for the first dose you get.

The deal was months ago when it wasn’t guaranteed and still in testing. Am I missing something?
