Tougher curbs put into force in Germany as deaths soar

Tougher curbs have been demanded by the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel in order to bring down the COVID-19 infections in the country. A daily record has been reached with the death toll as nearly 600 people died due to the virus in a day. Shutdown rules in Germany were far less strict than other European nations after Germany came out of the first wave a lot better than other nations.
