Turkey’s Erdogan dismisses EU sanctions threat, says they won’t matter much

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said Ankara was not concerned by any economic sanctions the European Union might impose on it and slammed the bloc as being ’dishonest.’ Talking to reporters before his Azerbaijan trip, Erdogan said, ’The EU has never acted honestly, it has never kept its promises (towards Turkey), but we have always been patient. … Sanctions against Turkey don’t concern us much.’
