Prison inmate sentenced to 90 years for marijuana trafficking is freed

A 71-year-old Florida man who served 31 years behind bars for selling marijuana was freed from state prison on Tuesday. Richard DeLisi was sentenced to 90 years in prison in 1989 even though the typical sentence was only 12 to 17 years. He said the judge gave him a lengthy sentence thinking he was part of an organized crime. The early release was part of an effort from the Last Prisoner Project.
