NASA names 18 astronauts to train for Artemis moon landings

VP Mike Pence on Wednesday named the 18 astronauts— nine men and nine women — who will train for NASA’s Artemis moon-landing program. NASA hopes to launch its first Artemis mission next year, and the first flight with astronauts is scheduled for 2023. The flight though will not land on the lunar surface. The mission after that, Artemis 3, is the one that is to land on the moon.

Excellent. Hopefully NASA gets the money it needs for the lander in the next budget.
