US Senate backs $23 billion arms sales to UAE

The US Senate defeated an effort to block the Trump administration’s sale of $23B in advanced fighter jets and drones to the UAE. This comes as President Trump issued a threat to veto congressional efforts to block the planned weapons transfer, which is tied to the UAE’s normalization of ties with Israel. Joe Biden is expected to review the sales.

I wish I knew more to decide what side I am on with this. The UAE is supporting separatists, while Yemen is trying to fight off the UAE and its own rebellion. I know over 300 people have been killed or wounded in recent airstrikes by the UAE, a number of which being civilian, which is not good. I dont see how selling more weapons brings more peace in the ME, except that it'll end conflict faster when all the enemies are dead. There's got to be details i have missed. I would like to hear from both sides of people who can argue both interests.
