In order to comply with COVID-19 curfew, Pope’s midnight mass to begin early

The Midnight Mass is set to be celebrated earlier than usual by Pope Francis in order to comply with the anti-coronavirus curfew imposed in Italy. Christmas and New Year’s blessings are also set to be delivered by the Pope in ways by which formation of crowds could be avoided. This year, the Pope’s December 24 mass is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. rather than the usual 9:30 p.m.
