United States approves first COVID-19 vaccine

A first vaccine of the novel coronavirus disease has been given the greenlight by the United States of America. Following the greenlight, a nationwide vaccination campaign has been started with the aim to defeat the pandemic which has affected the United States the worst. The outbreak has resulted in the death of nearly 300,000 Americans.

Are we so sure we want to rush it to people in nursing homes? To be among the first human guinea pigs? They will be least likely to be told the truth about the risk, to make an informed decision which could include "no," and are much more likely to suffer a catastrophic reaction to the vaccine than they are to contract COVID, also, they are already cut off from their family and friends and even each other (I would guess?) so calling them the most vulnerable is true, they are the most vulnerable to react badly to this invasion on their system. Pregnant women are not supposed to get nor any child under 16. The way the vaccine works is to intertwine right into the dna and this has never been the case before. All brave souls who try it first are guinea pigs at this point, it should be at least a well-informed and willing choice.
