Tesla to pause Model S/X production for 18 days

Tesla will reportedly shut down production for its Model S and Model X for 18 days beginning December 24. Employees working in the company’s Fremont factory were offered a full week of pay, along with a few paid holidays. The reasons for the shutdown are not clear. Tesla in its recent earnings report said it produced 16,992 Model S/X vehicles, accounting for just 11.7% of total vehicle production.
