Director of White House security recovering after losing leg to COVID-19

White House Security Office director Crede Bailey is recovering from Covid-19 after fighting the virus for three months in the hospital, which resulted in the amputation of his left big toe and the loss of his right lower leg and foot. Bailey was the most severely ill of people who contracted the virus from the event celebrating Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court in September.
