Germany says EU agency will approve Covid-19 vaccine before Christmas

Germany’s Health Minister Jens Spahn told reporters that he has been assured that the European Medicines Agency will approve a Covid-19 vaccine before Christmas. He said the EMA would approve the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine by December 23 instead of December 29. Germany has been pushing the EU’s medical regulator for an early approval of the vaccine after the UK and US gave emergency nod to it.
