The City of Paris has been fined €90,000 (a little over $109,000) for employing too many women in senior positions by the France’s public service ministry. The ministry said the city hall broke national laws in gender parity in 2018. Calling the fine ’absurd,’ Paris’s Mayor Anne Hidalgo said she was faulted as 11 women and only five men were posted in management positions in the city hall in 2018.
Looks like someone just discovered the difference between equal opportunity and equal outcome!
