San Francisco committee proposes removing Lincoln’s name from high school
A San Francisco committee has recommended the removal of Abraham Lincoln’s name from a high school due to his past treatment of Native Americans. The decision to remove Lincoln received backlash online. The committee also raised concerns around other school names including George Washington High School, Herbert Hoover Middle School and Paul Revere K-8.
