White House counsel’s office warned Trump not to fire FBI Director Wray

According to media reports, White House counsel’s office has warned President Trump not to fire FBI Director Christopher Wray because it could put him in potential legal jeopardy. Lawyers advised Trump that firing Wray could spark legal issues similar to those raised after Trump ousted James Comey as FBI director in 2017. The lawyers advising Trump were led by White House counsel Pat Cipollone.

It seems like this system keeps trying to protect itself. Is it because the FBI is useless and was only ever meant to be short term in the first place.

Presidential Crimes Commission will have a field day interrogating White House lawyers about the things they did - and didn't - do. I'd like Glenn Kirschner to be on that.

Yeah, they told him not to fire Comey, too. He should have fired the lot of them on day one, before there was any plausible grounds to accuse him. Then at least we wouldn't have had subordinate officers, secretaries, and assorted flunkies thinking they had a moral responsibility to undermine a sitting president.

Some of these comments are examples of partisanship transcending law and order. Why is it that one’s criminality is contendientes upon the faction said person belongs? News Flash: it’s not patriotic to hold a single person in higher regard than the nation and its people.
