US set to charge new suspect in 1988 Lockerbie plane bombing

The US is set to charge Mohammed Abouagela Masud, a Libyan. Officials say he was the bombmaker behind the December 21, 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Scotland’s Lockerbie, which killed all 259 people on the flight. The plane’s debris killed another 11 on ground. Abdelbaset al-Megrahi is the only convict of the attack. He was released in 2009 after almost 10 years in jail. He died in 2012.
