NYC cathedral gunman’s note says he planned to take hostages
According to law enforcement officials, the man killed by police Sunday after he opened fire on the steps of a NYC cathedral had a note in his pocket that said he planned to take hostages. Luis Vasquez planned to use the hostages as leverage to get US aid for Latin America. A native of the Dominican Republic, he wrote that the US ’committed robbery and more against the people of Latin America.’
