Human rights breached in Melbourne towers lockdown

It has been claimed that human rights laws were breached when nine tower blocks in Melbourne were rushed into lockdown due to an outbreak of coronavirus. Police guard was used to keep around 3,000 people confined in their homes. They had to remain confined for up to two weeks after a state government order. Many people were left without food or medicine as no notice was given to the residents.
