Swedish king says country’s coronavirus approach has failed

In a sharp criticism, Sweden’s king Carl XVI Gustaf said he believed the country ’failed,’ in its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. ’We have had a large number of deaths and that is terrible,’ the monarch said, using an annual Christmas TV special to shed light on the growing impact of the virus. With over 7,800 deaths, Sweden has seen a much higher per capita rate than its Nordic neighbors.

It seems like the only countries that have been able to dodge anything are the ones that put in travel bans early on. Why didn't the US do that? Because a group of people here will call it Xenophobia and racist even if that is what the scientists say is the best thing to do.

They tried a different approach from the rest of the world. The herd immunity approach may not have worked out as intended but neither have the other methods been successful.
