German experts call for vaccine priority list as country’s Covid-19 deaths rise

A team of independent experts in Germany has recommended that people over age 80, residents and staff in nursing homes, and medics at high risk of exposing themselves or others to the virus should be the first in the country to get the Covid-19 vaccine. The recommendation, which comes at a time of the pandemic’s resurge causing a large number of deaths in Germany, is likely to be implemented soon.
