Authorities charge 21 in alleged drug ring involving major NC universities

Fraternity members of Phi Gamma Delta, Kappa Sigma, and Beta Theta Pi, and students belonging to the University of North Carolina and Duke University were a part of a massive drug trafficking ring that for years funneled drugs into three college campuses. 21 people were charged by federal law enforcement agents in connection with the scheme following an investigation that began in November 2018.
