Son wins lawsuit after parents throw out his porn stash

David Werking, who was living with his parents following his divorce, sued them for getting rid of his pornography collection. Mr. Werking also won the lawsuit, and can now seek compensation, U.S. District Judge Paul Maloney ruled. Werking said his parents had no right to throw out his collection, which he valued at an estimated $29,000. The parents said they had a right to act as his landlords.

The parents should have kicked out their son from the house the very moment they found this pornographic "treasure" in their house. Their son is over 40 now and lives with his parents. He is most likely unemployed, mentally unbalanced, and porno addict.

I imagine the sentement in the comments would be different if they threw out 29,000 dollars of baseball cards

Well, I don't know the details of the law on the U.S., but my 'rule of thumb ' on the case would be: Is he paying rent for his parents? If the answer is yes and he keeps his collection on the room he is renting, the parents have no right to throw anytging out. On the other side, if he is not paying rent, then he is just a son back to living in his parents house and, as such, he has the duty to abide by his parents rules.
