The Kilauea volcano on Hawaii’s Big Island erupted Sunday, the US Geological Survey said. The volcano is in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and the eruption is in Halemaumau Crater. A magnitude 4.4 earthquake was reported in the area around 9.30 pm shortly after the eruption. The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory said the situation is ’rapidly evolving.’ It’s unclear if any damage has occurred so far.
