’Reprehensible’ that US isn’t taking action on new COVID variant in UK: Cuomo
New York Gov. Cuomo called it ’reprehensible’ that travelers from UK are being allowed to enter the country through the JFK Airport without being tested despite a contagious new mutation of the coronavirus shutting down London. ’We have about six flights a day coming in from the U.K. And all it takes is one person,’ Cuomo said, and called for the feds to test UK travelers at a ’minimum’.
It's already there. This is why this bug was so easily spread. The incubation period means it has spread before you realise there is a problem.
I’m sure it’s a federal issue/power, but does the Governor have the ability to close down flights in and out of the state? If so, then this is just partisan posturing. Either way, I do agree that we should lock down flights from all foreign countries for the moment.

Cuomo you know what else is awful and not responsible. Putting covid patients into senior homes around people who have the highest risk to suffer serious complications from covid and allowing over 6,000 seniors to die.

With how Cuomo handled the whole year, when he says the Feds should test people "at minimum", I am pretty sure "at best" he would like to have people shot on the spot if they show any signs of illness.
