What is meant is "house arrest with destitution, mental illness, and unhealthy lifestyle"...all without a crime or trial. The poor Canadians have gone soft and commie.

To the guy who called Canadians “soft” and “commie:” Clean up your own country before trashing the Canadian response. The Canadian govt provided $2K a month for any eligible Canadian who suffered financially because of the Coronavirus. It happened so fast that everyone who applied was accepted (false claimants will have to pay it back). Businesses also got aid programmes. We give a sh#t about each other, and our numbers are nothing compared to the US ones. Not caring, not providing aid for everyday people, holding out on relief bills until pieces profiting the rich and one’s political party is sociopathic. If caring about our citizens dying is “soft,” then let’s have more of it. Wasn’t it a great American who said “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country. “
