Former college exam administrator gets probation in bribery case

Niki Williams, who worked as a college entrance-exam administrator, was sentenced on to one year of probation for her role in the college admissions bribery scheme that saw wealthy parents trapped across the US. Williams, 46, was one of 50 people arrested in 2019 in the scheme that enabled undeserving students gaining entry in top US universities with fake sports credentials or fake test scores.

I found this handsome comment on the fox news section and I like it so I am retweeting it: I'm not saying the sentence was right or wrong, but I see some hypocrisy here. The people who paid into schemes like this were predominantly white and were sentenced to prison terms (as they should have been). The person taking the payments was a person of color and is sentenced to losing her job and feeling bad about what she did. But there's white privilege?

Special treatment if you have money .One year and a slap on the hand .Is that what the college students are going to get for running a drug ring out of the dorms?

What no restitution. She probably made enough to live comfortably and doesn’t need to worry about losing her job.
