Man charged in 1988 kidnap-murder of 9-year-old California girl
California authorities said they have charged a convicted killer, David Misch, of having kidnapped and murdered Michaela Joy Garecht, 9. Michaela was last seen on November 19, 1988 and although her body was never found, authorities are treating it as murder case. Police said they were able to match a partial palm print at the scene to Misch, who was already in a prison for killing a woman in 1989.
