Let’s Encrypt extends safe web browsing on Android 7 and older devices

Android compatibility has been extended by Let’s Encrypt for its certificates in order to allow continued safe browsing for older phones. Let’s Encrypt is an open certificate authority providing digital certificates to websites which in turn enables HTTPS. The announcement was made by Let’s Encrypt via their official website. An extension has been provided by the authority for three more years.
