US COVID-19 relief legislation includes $10m for ’gender programs’ in Pakistan

Some questions have been raised around lesser-known provisions of the US coronavirus relief bill lawmakers agreed upon over the weekend. A couple of these include assistance programs in Pakistan - one involving $15 million toward ’democracy programs’ and another involving $10 million to be distributed to ’gender programs.’ The legislation also provides for assistance of $700 million to Sudan.

Figures. It’s time to add a new Constitutional Amendment giving the executive branch the authority to use a line item veto. That way little pork projects like this can be vetoed without vetoing an entire important bill. It would send these little unpopular projects back to congress for override consideration entirely seperated from the popular necessary bill which congress had to pass in the first place. Then corrupt politicians would have to justify these projects after they’ve been removed from the larger bill as a whole.

The narrative that Americans are suffering is a sham. Shutdowns are fabricating real hardship in an attempt to do more of the same stuff like this that the two party system has pushed for decades. They claim to help Americans while bailing corporations and giving away free money to foreign entities. Disappointed in Trump for agreeing to it simply to get border wall funding. Hilarious though how the dems agreed to that as well, now that they are done smearing Trump as a racist. Social justice is a useful tool to gain political power, and everyone falls for it. I am sick of these politicians making things worse for the American people, simlly to gain more power over us and get more money. Its sick. No Rulers. No Kings.
