Family of jailed US teen in Cayman Islands appeals to Trump for help

The family of an 18-year-old student, who has been sentenced to four months in a Cayman Islands jail for violating the islands’ Covid-19 quarantine, has urged President Donald Trump for help in getting her released. Georgia’s Skylar Mack has been in jail since December 15. A judge overturned a previous sentence of 40 hours of community work and a fine of $2,600 and handed her a jail term.
