Alex Padilla to replace Kamala Harris in the Senate

California Gov. Newsom has picked Secretary of State Alex Padilla to fill a Senate seat being vacated by VP-elect Kamala Harris. Padilla, 47, will be the first Latino to represent California in the Senate. Prior to his current role, Padilla served as a member of the LA City Council from 1999 to 2006 and as a California state senator from 2006 to 2014.

It kind of sucks that the first California US senator that is Hispanic is appointed instead of elected. The same is going to go for our first woman president. Kind of negates the value of being the first of something in a elected office if it was appointed to you

Gavin hits another one out of the park as he tries to completely destroy California before voters remove him by force.

Saying he will "serve California" would imply that he means to serve the interests of Californians instead of serving the governor who most certainly does not serve California's interests.
