Senator Thom Tillis introduced a bill that seeks to overhaul of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. The bill seeks to fine-tune the current ’notice and takedown’ system and make it tougher for content taken down due to copyright infringements to reappear. The bill also seeks online service providers to be proactive in ensuring that taken down content doesn’t reappear on their platforms.
Bye bye fair use i guess. Too bad it won't do anything to stop piracy.
