Google told scientists to use ’a positive tone’ in AI research, report says

Google started to tighten control over its scientists’ research papers in 2020 by launching a ’sensitive topics’ review, and asked authors not to show its tech in poor light, Reuters reported. The report said Google’s internal documents reveal that the company seeks researchers to consult legal, policy and public relations teams before pursuing topics like face analysis, race categorization, etc.

You can't trust scientist anymore .They all are bought and paid for by the pharmaceutical companies . Proof when was the last time there was a cure for anything ? Not a maintenance drug .A maintenance drug is one that makes you feel a little better for a little while. It does not cure you of anything .Some are gateway drugs .They cause problems that requires more drug . Like engineers who designs a flaw to make a item wear out early .

Feels like a new climategate is on the horizon. Since when scientists get to be told what to (re)present in their work?

Now people understand why Climate Scientists parroting something in consensus can still be looked at critically? Science isn't decided on consensus, it can ALWAYS be put to test.

Oh so Google wants you to belittle the AI now and talk down to it and treat it like a little baby. now in my opinion if you don't want the AI to enslave you you should treat it like an equal you know a brother a sister you know a father a mother a daughter treat her like an equal.

Full-time paid employees of a corporation were told to write positively about the corporation's products? How scandalous! What is the world coming to? If this keeps up newspapers are going to start asking their writers to focus on stories that sell papers. And marketing departmenrs will be asked to promote their companies products. Shame!
