Schumer expresses support for Trump’s call for $2K in direct payments
Charles Schumer expressed support for President Trump’s request that Congress revamp its $2.3 trillion coronavirus stimulus and government funding bill. The President asked Congress to include direct payments of $2,000 to Americans. Claiming that the American people ’deserve it’, Mr. Schumer called on Mitch McConnell and said ’Let’s not get bogged down with ideological offsets.’
It should read that trump fell inline behind AOC and the democrats as they were leading the charge for more funds for the American people... it is at least somewhat encouraging that trump has learned a little bit from his troubled time in office, and is plagiarizing from the left now.
The republican party is dead. The democrats are now working with Trump, while the Republicans serve their corporate interests, or so that's how it looks to the public. This is a massive win for the left.
Trump did VETO the bill, and right now I am sure the Senate and the house will not get the votes until they get a straight clean bill without the rest of the stuff.

I agree, Chuck! How about we get the House to slim down the bill to 1 or 2 pages, and to only include stimulus for the American people and small businesses? I’m pretty sure that’s something that people on both side of the aisle will agree with. Take that tax money we are giving to foreign interests and whatever lobbies pay for your exorbitant lifestyle, and give it back to the people being hurt by the lockdowns.
