0.4% drop in consumer spending, first decline since April

As a newly resurgent virus was confronted by Americans, a 0.4% drop was seen in the US consumer spending in November. This has been the first decline since the month of April. According to a report by the commerce department, big increases were seen starting in May, with the November decline following a 0.3% gain in October. The previous decline was in April with a fall of 12.7%.
