La Marque, TX Police Department released bodycam footage showing an officer fatally shooting a Black man in the back. Key moments of the nighttime encounter on December 9 were missing or obscured, however. The footage does not include audio for the first 30 seconds, including the moment when 22-year-old Joshua Feast was shot by Officer Jose Santos because the camera was not activated by Santos.
I'm so tired of this. Wanted for shootings elsewhere, gun in hand, disobeying lawful commands, and fleeing the scene. Congratulations you are the recipient of some bullets. How's it feel to be a gangster, now?
"The footage does not show Feast holding a gun, though Santos can be heard after the shooting saying over police radio that Feast had dropped one on the ground. Police said they found two guns at the scene, not including Santos' service weapon... Jackson previously said that Feast was a person of interest in several recent shootings." Not sure it was a clean shoot from what little information is provided, however it definitely does not appear the man shot is as much a victim as portrayed by the lawyer.
@Drunken Leprechaun Right, but running from police should not equal an execution, or attempted execution.
Sorry to say but if you rob my house and are attempting to run away. Im shooting you in the back. No, not sorry.
They’ve gotta stop blowing up these stories. We’re all sick of these damn riots.
@Aaron You run from the police means you're just as likely to go commit any type of crime like murder if you run away not to mention you may hurt another public citizen or an officer. You don't obey the police you will be shot and possibly killed. It's 2020 and everyone knows this, It's police procedure.
Cop had to resign for beating a man before. Why did they allow him back on the force?
Real Patriots shoot people in the back.
Anyone seeing yellow here? Love seeing these people trying to justify the actions of a back shooting coward. Good luck with that.
He must have done something to get the police attention. But no one cares about that.
You can't shoot someone for running away.
“"This footage portrays one thing: A defenseless man was shot in the back when he had not disobeyed a single lawful command and posed no threat to the officer," Crump said in a statement Monday.” (Expand) So you are saying the officer was giving him the lawful command to: “run away from me, don’t stop, just keep running!” Dude, do you think before you open your mouth?
