US vaccinated just 1 million people out of a goal of 20 million for December

The US vaccinated one million people against Covid-19 on Wednesday, which the country rolled out on December 14. This is 19 million short of the 20 million goal that the government set for December. The US has two approved vaccines now – one from Pfizer/BioNTech and one from Moderna. With just about a week remaining in this month, the US would need to vaccinate more than 2.1 million people a day.
