California Covid-19 patient beats elderly roommate to death with oxygen tank
A Covid-19 patient in a California hospital allegedly killed his elderly Hispanic roommate after he hit him with an oxygen tank, authorities said. Jesse Martinez, 37, has been arrested for hate crime murder and elder abuse. Martinez hit his roommate, 82, when he started praying. Both were infected with Covid-19 and were being treated in Antelope Valley Hospital in Los Angeles County’s Lancaster.

The big question is, if Martinez is executed for this murder, will that be labeled as a Covid related death?
It's a hate crime because the roommate was praying? Just checking, because I can legitimately start praying whenever I please, so that would make any assault on me a hate crime. I think some clarification is in order.
