House Republicans say no to unanimous consent on $1.4 trillion omnibus bill
Republicans have blocked the Democrat’s move to attach the omnibus spending bill with the coronavirus relief bill. Democrats and media claim this was about changing the Covid-19 stimulus checks from $600 to $2,000 by unanimous consent. Trump had publicly announced he wanted just the clean Covid-19 relief bill with stimulus checks for $2,000 per adult or $4,000 for couples.
Mr Pres. DO NOT SIGN THIS BILL POCKET VETO IT. its full of pork for foreign countries. Illegal aliens and rich corporations and SHAFTS the American people whose money the Gov is using. If Americans cant get the 2k- with money cut from other programs- than No Bill should be passed. Republicans will be very sorry ax they may lose election in Ga. And Dems already bare the blame for all this pork and for not generating a bill 2 months ago.
Anyone that was listening heard Trump insist that the international pork be taken out and given to the citizens. That isn't what Pelosi heard.
It's not the 2 grand that concerns me (considering they still haven't gotten me my dirst stimulus checks), it's the outrageous pork. It only takes three pages tops to send everyone $2000 checks. Let's see our lawmakers acting with transparency.

And its not just a matter of adding 1400 to the 600 already agreed to. Its finding CUTS elsewhere ie support for illigals or some foreign aid or even extra unemployment - in order to pay for the increase to taxpayers.
Give ZERO dollars to any other country ( especially for gender studies which there is only ✌🏻). Nothing to the Smithsonian. It should be a 1 page bill 2000 to the ppl and 300 add unemployment tha''s it.
Honestly this is hilarious there won't be 2000 dollar checks. Yes they can vote on it Monday, but I doubt ole Mitch would even allow the vote. Trump basically said screw it I'm gonna take at least half the republican party for myself.
Scrap the bill and stop agreeing to pork spending for things we don't need to spend billions on.
None of that foreign aid, or the doubling of the budget for Congress' private clinic should have been in there in the first place.
This was not about the Covid bill, this was about all the PORK BARRAL projects in the annual budget tacked onto the COVID relief bill. Misleading headlines as usual.

Keep this up, and the GOP will be looking to lose seats in Congress in 2022. The GOP should have gone after sending tax dollars overseas. Not try and go cheap with taxpayers.

Before there's criticism, know that this failed under Unanimous Consent. This was to get this passed today with only the lawmakers still in DC, since they aren't in session. Since this failed, it can be put up for a vote on Monday (when they are back) and still be passed. I opened two of the links and none of them explained this. I'm seeing a lot of people online thinking that there won't be a $2k check because of this, that's false.
