Andrew Yang to run for New York City mayor, files paperwork
Former Democratic presidential hopeful Andrew Yang filed paperwork to run for New York City mayor in 2021. Yang, 45, joined at least 35 others who want to succeed Mayor Bill de Blasio. A Public Policy Polling survey found Yang was the top choice among potential Democratic mayoral candidates in New York City. Yang is the founder of Venture for America that trains college graduates entrepreneurship.
Personally i would support him, he seems nice as a mayor, plus he has good intentions. Even though i didnt support him during the primaries (i supported Biden), i will support him now.
What happened to De Blasio? I don't agree with Yang on a lot of things but he is an improvement over De Blasio.
When will the people wake up and realize dems are the worst at running cities unless you love violence and crime.
At this point I think a half eaten bagel could win that race.
I was all in for Yang when he was running for president. Sucks that he shilled for Biden and the mainstream media but if he redeems himself and gets in as NYC Mayor I'd say he has a really good chance in 2024 or 2028 or something

Yang is a man for all seasons. He would be a very good choice. Intelligent, passionate and compassionate.
Good luck. Whoever wins will be liked for the first month and then the honeymoon is over. You are going to have to raise massive amounts of money on closed business through? The massive social programs can't pay for themselves, the super wealthy have left or are leaving? Cuomo chooses what you can do.I wouldn't touch this job politically.
I said this during the Democrat primaries: if I was going to make a think tank for outside the box solutions, Andrew Yang would be on that panel. And at least he won't be comrade de Blasio.
If he can implement his ubi at a New York level it would catapult him to the presidency regardless of the DNC establishment fix
He would be better than Mayor de Blasio
He wants to be Mayor so he can run for a higher office, Yang is all about Yang. NYC deserves better.

I think most will agree that he would have a hard time being anything but an improvement.
He'd probably make a decent mayor seemed to me to be one of the top 2 choices out of the democrats
