The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the US will require airline passengers from Britain to get a negative Covid-19 test before their flight. This comes in the wake of the discovery of a new and more contagious Covid-19 strain in the United Kingdom. The CDC said UK passengers must get the test within three days of their trip and provide the results to the airline they choose to use.
Everyone is focussing on the UK but South Africa has the same variant. I get why countries are being cautious, but if they arent consistent then measures like this are surely a bit pointless. Not just the US, you can still fly from SA into Europe and Asia etc.
That's racist....
Honestly it seems like a time to just put a halt on international travel period. Meeting can be held online and as long as people coming home are good I'd just do no leaving unless for a necessary reasons. Sounds pretty strict but this virus crap has gone on to long.
Why don’t all international flyers have to get negative tests? Isn’t this just common sense
Glad to see us taking this more seriously.
Seems right to me
Absolutely xenophobic! 🤣😂
Ban all travel and put an end to this casedemic with a 99% survival rate.
Ummmm....we werent doing this the whole time? What the duck.
Quick move by the Trump administration, as usual. (Satire)
Remember when the "muslim ban" went down and how xenophobic that was? Well, a "UK ban" is totes appropriate.
