Laid off pre-school teacher wins $250,000 lottery prize

Joe Camp, a teacher from North Carolina who was laid off earlier this year recently had his luck dramatically turn around. Camp, who had been teaching at a preschool for 20 years, bought two Gold Rush tickets and managed to win just under $177,000 after required federal and state withholdings. He will buy a home for himself and save the rest for his daughter’s education.
