UK Covid-19 strain could be in US, former FDA chief Gottlieb says
After Canada confirmed the new Covid-19 strain that emerged in the UK, Dr Scott Gottlieb, the former FDA head, said the variant is probably circulating in the United States. He said it has not been detected in the US as It isn’t tracking mutations of the virus as closely as other nations. Speaking at a CBS show, Gottlieb said the US needs a better approach to track changes in the virus.
