AstraZeneca says its new Covid-19 vaccine effective against UK strain

AstraZeneca CEO Pascal Soriot said his company’s vaccine is as effective as the 95% rate claimed by rival developers after reports emerged that initial partial tests showed it to be only about 70% effective. Talking to UK’s Sunday Times, Soriot said its vaccine’s efficacy is as good as any other rival’s, it’s easier to transport and store and it’s also effective against the new UK Covid-19 strain.
