House votes to override Trump veto of defense bill

The House on Monday voted 322 to 87 to override President Trump’s veto of the National Defense Authorization Act. The Senate is set on Tuesday to take up the issue, though a final vote may not occur until later this week. Two thirds of both chambers must sign off to enact the bill over Trump’s objections. Monday’s override vote was a rare rebuke of Trump by Republican lawmakers.

This was utterly predictable even trump would have known this would be the outcome, which begs the question, why did he veto the bill and delay getting money to Americans?
