UK records growth in vinyl sales for the 13th straight year

The British Phonographic Industry has announced that 4.8 million LP albums were sold this year in the United Kingdom. The figure is almost 10% higher than the sales recorded in 2019. BPI said vinyl sales haven’t been this strong since ’the early nineties.’ In the US, the Recording Industry Association of America said in September that vinyl had outsold CDs for the first time since the 1980s.

I've never understood why people buy vinyl. They take up lots of space, can hold very little information, are expensive, have inferior sound quality and are made from crude oil.
